How to find the email and phone number for any UK company
Companies House tells you who a company is, but not how to reach it. Here's the reliable way to find real contact details — and how to do it for hundreds of companies at once.
What Companies House gives you
Every UK limited company has a public record: company name and number, registered office address, status, SIC (industry) codes, and its directors. It does not include an email address, phone number or website.
Finding contact details by hand
- Look up the company on the Companies House register and note its postcode.
- Search the web for the company name plus its town to find its own website.
- Confirm the website shows the same company name, number or postcode.
- Read the contact, about and footer pages for an email and phone number.
- Note a named director from the register to personalise your message.
This takes 5–10 minutes per company — fine for one, slow for a hundred.
Doing it automatically
CompaniesHouseLeads.com runs the same steps for you. Search the register by name, town or SIC code, and AI researches each company on the public web, checks details against the company name and postcode, and saves the verified email and phone to your lead list. If nothing matches, the field stays blank — no guessed emails.
Common questions
- Does Companies House list company email addresses?
- No. The register holds the registered office address, officers, SIC codes and filings, but not email addresses or phone numbers. Those have to be found on the company's own website or other public sources.
- Can I get a company's phone number from Companies House?
- No. Companies House does not publish phone numbers. Use the company name and registered postcode to find its official website, then check the contact page.
- How do I know a contact detail belongs to the right company?
- Check that the website mentions the same company name and postcode or company number that appears on the register. CompaniesHouseLeads.com does this automatically and leaves the field blank if it can't match.
- Is it legal to contact UK businesses I found this way?
- B2B outreach to corporate addresses is generally allowed under UK PECR, but you must follow UK GDPR, identify yourself and offer an opt-out. Check guidance from the ICO for your situation.
