UK company data for lead generation
The most up-to-date list of UK businesses is free and public: the Companies House register. Here's how to turn it into a lead list you can actually contact.
What's in the register
- Company name, number and status (active, dissolved, in liquidation)
- Registered office address and postcode
- SIC codes describing what the company does
- Directors and incorporation date
From data to leads in three steps
- Filter — pick an industry (SIC code), a town or postcode, and active companies only.
- Research — AI finds each company's website and verified email and phone.
- Reach out — score the leads, draft personalised emails and send from your own inbox.
Common questions
- Where does UK company data come from?
- The official source is the Companies House register, published under the Open Government Licence. It covers every registered UK company, active and dissolved.
- Why not just buy a UK business data list?
- Bought lists go out of date quickly and are often shared with many other buyers. Searching the live register gives you current, active companies, and you only pay to research the ones you want.
- Can I filter UK companies by industry?
- Yes. Every company declares one or more SIC codes. You can filter by SIC code, name keyword, town or postcode and status.
- How many companies can I pull per search?
- Up to 250 companies per search. Contact research uses AI credits, and new accounts get 100 free credits.
